Conservative groups want Bush to put the "Christmas" back into his Christmas cards. The card in question, which was sent to 1.4 million people, wished them a happy "holiday season", reports the Chicago Tribune today. While the last time "Christmas" appeared was in 1992, under former President George H. W. Bush, they are again expressing displeasure. In part, this comes because Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert has "insisted that the sparkling spectacle on the Capitol lawn should be called the Capitol Christmas Tree, not a holiday spruce." Religious conservatives, now more than ever, are reacting to the influx of secularism in the pursuit of political correctness.
