The liberal DailyKos makes a good point today in their post Why We Contest Every Seat.
While the sagacity of contesting every seat is questionable (as opposed to targeting), there is no doubt that there are longterm benefits of running a vigorous campaign -- even if you end up losing.
Speaking of Paul Hackett's failed Congressional campaign, last cycle, Kos writes:
"He excited locals, got them engaged, helped build the progressive infrastructure that is paying dividends to Vic Wulsin today."
