The GOP and the New Media ...

The Washington Post has a column today on the New Media A Weapon in New World Of Politics.

One of the most interesting aspects of the column is Bill Clinton's admission that the media has traditionally favored liberal causes (you and I have known this for years, but liberals rarely concede that the establishment media is liberally biased).

According to Clinton, the liberal establishment media has hurt Democrats' ability to adapt to the modern world:

... I think a part of it is we grew up in the '60s and the press led us against the war and the press led us on civil rights and the press led us on Watergate," Clinton said. "Those of us of a certain age grew up with this almost unrealistic set of expectations."

The good news is (as the story points out), the fact that conservatives had to deal with the liberal media led us to become more proficient at using the "new media." Talk about unintended consequences!
